My Favorite Time of Day

The kids have all

went to school

to play and learn

that is their goal

my husband left

he went to work

to make money

to pay for perks

i am left

all alone

sitting here

I will not moan

finally, oh finally

peace at last

the break is over

quietness comes fast

soon they'll

come bumbling in the door

excited and hyper

quiet will be no more

but until then

I will enjoy

as I sit and smile

45 minutes more!

I too am totally alone for the first time since school was out for Christmas break...it's nice and quiet here and I can't decide what I want to do most. I think I'll go and read a book and eat junk food! LOL
