It's small, and inexpensive - under $60. It's a pocket sized Vivitar that takes regular batteries - triple A.
Now I have to get the batteries and get into the habit of taking it with me.
I find I want certain electronic items - such as MP3 player - and once I have them I rarely use them.
I was supposed to just accompany my friend as he bought a much higher end camera - I guess mid-range - about $400 or so.
I cannot see spending that much. I have been using the disposible ones, so this is quite a step up. Gee, no more film developing!

I think you'll find you get frustrated with the vivitar rather quickly. I went from a cheaper digital to a slightly more expencive one to an even more expencive one and each time I upgrade I find I actually take more and more pictures.
My most recent expenditure was on a Kodak 6.1 mega pixle with zoom and video capabilities. I use it all the time. We go anywhere and I have my camera along side. Uploading is amazingly easy with Adobe Photo and my HP printer that has a memory card dock. I just slip the card in and Adobe automatically starts up. I just tell it to "get pictures" and it zips through them like butter! After it's uploaded them it asks me if I want it to clear the memory card and VOILA! I'm ready to take more!
I love not having to worry about bad pics wasting my film, because I can just delete them right away or wait until I've loaded them and delete them that way.
Now I'm looking to purchase a much more expencive camera. I've caught the shutterbug and LOVE IT!
