I went to comment on a friend's article about his appreciation of the United States, and came upon the most hateful comment. If someone disagrees with you on Gather, they have the right to call you a "coward?"
I am sure they do, but I am equally sure my friends would not be friends with this "person." Follow the trail, and find the commenter. He or she has few friends and perhaps, after reading this, he or she will have fewer.
Just my two cents.

But to actually do that on the internet, doesnt that make the person doing the calling a coward?
Do it face to face, NOT computer to ISP to Gather to ISP to computer!
How rude!
If you happen to get back here to Carol's article, I just wanted to say: YOU ARE NO COWARD!!!!! People who express their un-American sentiments behind the guise of conspiracy theories are the cowards.
I thought I would make things easier for everyone and provide links to both articles mentioned here..........................
DAN'S PATRIOTIC ARTICLE
And the article that seems to have started it all............
THE OTHER ARTICLE
they were questions many have asked over the years. then I went to click on Cole's article but am not connected, so am in the dark there... But did see someone HERE that posted about never deleting comments...lol...that person deleted over 500 comments in a 24 hour period once, leaving all kinds of posts in hapless disarray, and being so weird about it all that I almost left gather afer only 3 weeks on! Thankfully I realized that this is only cyberspace and there IS room for all. I love my country and love the freedom to be able to express myself on gather..Yea!!
We do have the ability to delete unwanted comments. BUT, sometimes it's better to leave the idiotic ones so other people can see their royal idiotness. ;-p
