Update on Tax Rebate

Here's the hoopla!  We do not have to pay any taxes on the rebate this year or next.  I have a link to the article, and I'll try to get it hot, if not just copy and paste.  The article answers many questions, but to me the most important is no tax on rebate.

Cool - I hadn't expected to have to pay taxes on it on a federal level, but wouldn't be surprised if we're charged taxes on a state level?

Carol the link did not work, but I want to know what's going on...I got my income tax check last week...it wasn't anymore then what it was supposed to be...I thought they were giving us an extra $800.00 bucks?

That's nice, we always have to pay taxes and none of those nifty rebates ever come to us. We don't make enough to get them. We owe 1,100 this year. Figures and we aren't working now. Thanks shrub!

Link didn't work for me either, but it's interesting to know that we won't have to pay taxes on it. We were talking with some friends yesterday, and since I don't work, I don't know if we'll get the $600 for me or not. I'll have to look at it.
