This is Part 2 of a three part photo essay that shows how I do it, step-by-step. These photos are from today, taken in my home studio.

^ I outline each section of the window, then repaint the black lines that created the sections.
^ I added white dots (falling snow) and then realized something more was neded to help balance the composition, so I added the snowman's hat, half buried in the snow.
^ I added shadows to the coal and carrot; and I decided the snow man needed arms also, so I created them!
^ I make sure all sides and edges are painted, and when I am satisfied that the snowman painting is done, I sign it.
The only remaining step is to seal with with a clear protective varnish, satin finish (I will have to wait for warmer mid-day temperatures before I do that).
Snowman 2007, is my first "stained-glass-canvas" painting of a snowman. It is acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas, 12" x 9" x .5"
