I don't do video

I have SLLLOOOWWW speed internet.  So I haven't even bothered trying.  Am I the only one who hasn't watched a Gather video yet?  Am I missing out on some really cool stuff?

 

It's ironic to me because I used to make movies at the area cable access, but that was then and it was just before everything went digital.  Now I feel so out of it.

I'd have to say that mostly no, you are not missing out on much. I did see a couple of funny, politically charged videos though.

I can't view videos on here. I can view them everywhere on the internet, but here. It doesn't bother me, though. I can't keep up with everything on here as it is.

My laptop is new and it freezes during the gather videos, so Idont use it. You aren't the only one not into the video thing.

I barely have enough time to read what I do. Haven't watched any videos and not sure if I'll ever get around to it!

the one I saw did not impress me, and since I use Mozilla most of the time, they won't run on my box anyway.

I have no interest in the video's there is enough articles here to read & images to look at. I just have no interest in them really.

you are not alone,i cannot view the vids either.i can,but it would take almost 10 minutes to load one video to watch,so i dont waste my time

I've watched a few. Once I find an editing program I plan on doing some video myself, but so far I'm preferring articles and images.

I read mostly. I should comment on photos, I don't think of it often. I have watched videos, but I don't tend to go looking for them. I read mostly, like I said. Good Article Peter!

I saw a video or two but so far I have yet to hear about any mini-movies that are of interest. It all seem to be home video. If it were short films and music videos, I might be there more often.

When I worked at the public access station it was all digital =).

I've watched a few, mostly are of kids and dogs. Now mind you I have nothing against dogs or kids, but it reminds me of the good ol days when friends invited ya over for an evening of "home movies"...boring, boring, boring.

I've watched one video on my time on Gather..I've found YouTube to be the "great time killer" of internet productivity, so I stay away from it..

I must be a "freak," I guess--or at least the odd person out. I'm a full-time writer, so of course, I love the articles. But my husband and I bought some video-editing software and a digital camera with video capabilities, and we LOVE making videos. We don't do home movies so much, but we love doing creative stuff, especially for our church, just making mini movies or "clips" actually. We made a few for the Girls Night Out contest and had a blast. I guess I just like being creative, whether it's with words OR video.

I don't do the videos either. For one thing it takes to long and for another I am into great photos and reading about people. I think actually think this video thing could hurt Gather. I know it has slowed down since it started.

I do not care too much for the videos. I enjoyed one video thus far. I personally prefer to read articles.
