Bonding with your children

My youngest son is in the Airforce.  He was sent to Korea for a year just before his youngest son was born.  When he got home he had to go through a period of bonding with the baby & rebonding with the 3 yr. old.  I have some wonderful pictures of that time that I thought I would share with you.

Yeah Bundy, it was really hard on him. He felt so guilty being away.
Janna he is so crazy about his boys. Thats all he talks about.

The pictures were precious, Nancy! Thanks so much for sharing! I'm sure it was very hard on him to be away. I would have for my husband to have to be away for a week, let alone an entire year. I' m glad your son made it back home safely so that he could rebond with his children! He's a very handsome man, by the way, and your grandchildren are just adorable!

Yes - I have a brother who was in the Air Forse and he missed te first year of his son's life (on & off). 3 years later he is a stay at home dad and he's got the bonding thing done good :)~
p.s. I would love to go for a walk where they were walking - it looks so beautiful!!!

Very nice, one of my friends had the same issue. When we were sent to korea his first child was only 2 months old. That was a long year for him (fun for me I was still single at the time).

Some wonderful pictures there. It's great that he has taken the time to rebond with his children. My ex-brother-in-law was never able to rebond with his oldest who is now 14 and it has caused so many problems.

Great pictures. My dad went to Korea for a year when he was in the military. I was eleven at the time. It's hard on us kids when Dad is gone, but we were so happy to see him when he came home. *sniff Sorry, I have tears in my eyes.

folks never talk about the hardhips of military life on those that are enlisted. thanks for sharing that those that leave have a hard row to hoe as well as the family that's left behind.
