That's funny! Maybe they never have won before. Maybe they don't want to say they're psychic for fear of being scrutinized. Maybe they want to use their powers for the good of others, not for personal gain.
Simple - if they admitted they were psychic, they'd be disqualified for having pre-existing knowledge of the lottery's outcome. Sort of like how they crack down on ticket sellers who print the winning ticket so they can cash in on it.

I can't clearly make out any of the numbers...
I imagine we have about the same chance of winning the Lottery as we do of seeing a bear writing the winning numbers on his cave's wall.
