Hey, sounds like a song, doesn't it.

Well, that's not what I'm writing about today. What's really on my mind is the fact that I've been truly writing my little heart out this month and STILL haven't reached the 3,000 points mark. Something is just not right about that!

Has anyone else noticed that it takes a whole lot longer to reach that level? OR am I just crazy????????????

I hadn't paid much attention to be honest with points since they changed the rewards but now that you mention it, I do think they are accumulating a bit slower than before. I wonder if they "tweeked" the system or something?!?

I noticed that a while back when it just semed like I wasn't getting the points I thought I had earned. Since they keep it all such a secret it is really hard to know.

I really think they must have changed the point values somehow.

I think the more people that join gather the less points there are to go around. Right? Maybe that's why you're not earning as much as you used to. But I definetely think comments count and also voting in the poll everyday. Not a lot but it still counts.

I am guessing it is a secret logarhythm that is computing articles, connections, groups, contributions to the site and how fast the wind is blowing

Well, it may be tied more to advertising revenue than anything else. I don't know?
I do know that trying to get 3000 points a month must be tough, I can't imagine doing that myself, even if I did publish a lot, which I don't. If I did the math, it would probably take me about 5 months to do that.....most of mine come from comments I think?

You could be right John. I'd love to know exactly how they determine points.
