Being Flagged

I just received a message saying I have been flagged... I can't see anywhere that I have been Flagged and for what? maybe it was this comment

" I stopped uploading as the restrictions were just a little too harsh, and it was too time consuming to upload so I joined Flicker.com. Just a few days ago gather changed something and did a maintenance clean out, or something like that and after that every time i posted it would delete, So i just waited a couple of days and everything is ok. So I use Flicker for photos and Gather to write. "

If it was it is because it is true I haven't posted a photo here since September the 19th because it is just too much trouble and the process means I need two versions of the same photo stored on my Pc. one for here and one I can print.

This is the email I just received

"Your flagged! Somebody doesn't like you either!Ha Ha Ha ha Ha ha! And me thinks me knows why! Try to make your New Years resolution to get a real life! Santa's going to be watching, so you better not be naughty! Have a good one! Gathers Big Brothers will be watching your keyboard for red flags..."

maybe it was the person that sent the Email or Maybe it was Gather I will never know. But if it was for the above comment it is pretty low where you can't tell the truth. here is another comment I made to the same article, maybe this one will get me banned

"I sent a email to gather about it but still no reply so what I do is publish the article with the photo in it and then go to edit it and add the text after, It also deletes the article if I spell check the article before trying to post it. Most times I have to do the article in Word then copy and paste it, So if I just forget to copy the article before I add a photo I loose the complete article to cyberspace. Never to be written the same again."

I still haven't recieved an Email from Gather , Maybe the email got deleted as well. I would like to know just how many people go to publish and loose their well written article to Gather cyberspace and haven't tried to re write it. Some times I have spent 2 hours just trying to get some articles published as every time it will delete them or format it incorrectly or just won't let me publish. I get angry very slowly but I bet there are a lot out there that don't and just give up.

If any one can shed me any light on the flagging situation please let me know and let me know if I have been flagged.

That's not the kind of e-mail a Gather staff member would send. It must have been a "member" of the community.

Yes it was not from a Gather staff but from a Gather member here and he has just sent me another email with a smart comment so I have just blocked them. But has he flagged me or has Gather falgged me? as I cannot see any thing anywhere.

If you were flagged it would be by a Gather member. It can still be seen unless the Gather staff did something. If it gets flagged it might help draw attention to the article.

Louis. Ronita had some of her photos flagged as for mature persons only by some one and when she published her next article It had the red writing on the top as soon as she published it, So some one was flagging her articles. That is why I said that in my comments.Ronita is a special friend and I like her and her humour this is why we both thought it was funny, I also sent her an email to tell her as at the time we had some ratbags running around flagging articles. Hopefully they have left the site and gone to a trailer park that suites their species.

If a person flags you, it will say that this article or photo has been reported as being possibly inappropriate and that a gather staff member will review it. If Gather is involved, they usually give you a chance to fix things on your own first. If you don't hear from Gather, it means the flagging was inappropriate.

The red writing saying this article has been flagged for mature audiences is something you do yourself when you post the article.

Enjoy the flaggers, it means you have done something right.

Gary; For two days I tried to publish pics and to no avail.Iv'e written to the owners of Gather ,They have not given any reason why this happens, My take is that ,they can't keep up withall that is being posted or published,This am,I finally got a couple pics posted,Gather seems to be down alot as well. So either we deal with it or scrub the whole frigin thing,Like you I get Mad ,Then go ballistic. So budy, your not alone.
