I made this Chop Suey along with many other chinese dishes for my son's 12th birthday party.
1 tblsp. olive oil
2 large chicken breasts cut into slices they don't have to be perfect
1 small onion sliced however you like
2 cloves of garlic choppedd very small
1 small can of chinese mushrooms
1 can bamboo sprouts
1 can water chestnuts
1 can chinese corn
1 cup snap peas
a handful of bean sprouts
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup water mixed with 1 teaspoon corn starch
In a wok, wok pan or frying pan pour the olive oil on the bottom of the pan or wok, then add the chicken slices the onion and the garlic. Cook on medium heat until chicken is about 3/4 cooked. Do not drain leave all the liquids in the pan.
Then add your chinese mushrooms go ahead and pour in any liquid from the can. Then add your bamboo sprouts, Next add your bamboo sprouts, water chestnuts, chinese corn, snap peas, bean sprouts, soy sauce and water with corn starch mixture.
Continue cooking until chicken is fully cooked and snap peas are at desired consistency. Lower heat if necessary.
Serve over cooked rice or noodles.
