I've been waiting for 3 weeks now for a package to come from UPS and I seriously thought it had just gotten mixed up in the shipping so I waited forever to contact the shipper to see if they had a tracking number. They did and I tracked my packaged...low and behold it ws delivered on 5/4/09. What? I never got it.
I called UPS who gave me a line of crap and I told them if they didn't find out what happened to my package I would be going over their heads to a supervisor (its great knowing the local UPS supervisor) Needless to say they have been calling me all day yesterday to let me know they were working on it.
Last night the UPS guy stopped by saying he thought we didn't live here but lived at the end of the road. Hello my address is clearly marked on my house! Ugh! He said he was going to talk to the person he delivered it to and find out what if she still had it. You know she's not gonna have it. It was my starter kit for Scentsy and it had over $200 worth of candle warmers and candle wax. She probably opened it up and either used it or sold it.
He did apologize but apology or not I can't make money without that stupid kit. I've lost over $200 in sales because of him. He also told me that UPS would be paying for a new one to be delivered to me. Ya, good thing cause I'm not paying another $125.
This morning I was talking to my sister in law about it and she was telling me that when she started up with Mary Kay the UPS guy (same guy mind you) delivered her package to the wrong house too. Thankfully the person he delivered it to brought it to my sister in law. I think its time that we get a new UPS man for our area.
Hopefully he will be able to get the new kit to me and not to someone else! I will be tracking this one very carefully!!!

I've used UPS for decades and didn't have a problem until recently. When we sent Leah's laptop to be serviced, HP sent me a shipping box through UPS. It wasn't delivered because only Leah's name was on the mailbox. The address slip had the apartment number, but because my name wasn't listed, the guy wouldn't even ring the bell.
I'm now expecting delivery of two heavy boxes of my stuff from Arizona on the 21st. I will probably wait out in front of the building all day to make sure they are dropped off.
And actually dressed like they cared!

Our mailbox is clearly marked with our address on THREE sides. Our last name is marked on two sides. There's just no reason to not be able to get it to the right house.
Our UPS people are pretty good. There was that one time that the guy hid the box on our back patio and I didn't notice it for a couple of days. Still, I asked him not to do that again and haven't had a problem since.
Maybe you will end up with two kits!
Good thing was it was all insured so he got the money back, bad thing was he made a deal to get it half off and could not get what he needed for the same price again. SUcked.
This is what happens often here, but since it is family that leaves so close, things work out. It does get frustrating when the address is visible, and clearly marked on the package.
that really stinks! our ups people are the opposite. they leave notes on the door saying to redeliver or pickup. we always have to end up driving 45 minutes to pick it up because we're never home when they deliver.
