Modigliani

I have been trying to publish a painting of Modigliani's since I saw the film Modigliani. For some reason I can't seem to pubish images by themselves. Anyway, the film was made in 2004 and stars Andy Garcia who I think is a fine actor (as well as very easy on the eyes). It takes place in Paris after World War I. I would recommend this film highly to anyone who likes good film or is interested in artists (or both). You can get it at NetFlix. And since I can't seem to publish the image by itself, here is a Modigliani. I hope you enjoy it, I think it's fabulous.

that was a fabulous movie. it was fun to see the impersonations of such wonderful artists and introduced my boyfriend to a few artists he didn't know by name before.

modigliani has always been an influence in my art work. i remember one time in art school we had a visiting sculptor from Italy who stopped in front of the painting i was working on and cried out "Modigliani. Modigliani", and gave me a pat on the back and wandered off with a big smile of joy. he was/is a modigliani fan too.

I like Andy Garcia as well but never heard of this film. I do have netflix and will look for it. What a beautiful portrait of his love.

FYI many people mispronounce the name of this italian artist. In Italian, you do NOT say Mo-dig-lee-ah-nee. Nope, it's pronounced mo-deel-ya-nee. Just thought you might like to know.
