Left Margin

Now we here at Gather

Have had another upgrade

It is called Ice

Another new escapade

It is all left Margin,

To make it look neat

That's what they told us

It just can't be beat

But recently I have been reading

More ads than I had before

I keep wondering why

Now I know the score

All the ads are on the right side of the page

And the little scroll line is there

And my hand's not as steady, guess it's my age

So I miss sometimes and at ads I stare

I'm telling you, if it wasn't so funny

I might be a bit mad

But now that I realize it, I'll be careful

and smile as I click off their ads

Gotta love how they mess up a good thing just so they can figure out how to get extra clicks for their sponsors and make themselves more money. If everyone downloaded and went through Mozilla Firefox, all of those ads would simply disappear and not even be there to clutter up the pages. You should have Billy check it out for you and have him add it to your computer. That's what Scott did for me. It even has spell check and you can open more than one window to browse at the same time. I really like it, especially block advertising and pop up ads.

Yep, the ads are right margin. Not bad. I have Firefox and I see all the ads. I think Elsie does have Firefox.

always strikes me as silly when the ads on the right are the same... if I wasnt interested the first time, not going to be the second time a half a second later

At least if the comment threads are long enough, I quickly get by the ads and have mostly white space. It just looks odd to have all of this on the left and then a big empty spot on the right.

The ads work in reverse for me...I'm so sick of Teddy Graham ads, I won't buy them...and I hope I never need a Poise Pad...

I hadn't noticed, Elsie, but you are right. I'm all in favor of Gather making money, but I don't like it that I'm still having trouble and wasting time trying to navigate my way through the new 'improvements'.
