Poppies - Repost for Summerpics

On a trip to Brookgreen Gardens I took so many photos and I'm starting to have time to sort them by category and share them here.  The following are some beautiful poppies in many different colors.  I hope you enjoy them.  These petals on these beautiful flowers are so light the sun shines through them and each angle shows a different shade of color. 

Coming next will be the Pansies, another favorite of mine.

I adore poppies. You did a wonderful job of composing your photos here. I especially liked the first and second ones, because of the color contrasts and texture. Just wow! on all of them.

Thanks, Nana. I love poppies. They are so cheerful. I have annual poppies that went to seed and the babies are covering a couple of beds. I have to go out and cull them soon. Too bad some of you dont' live closer - I'd gladly share.

I wish poppies were a wildflower native to my area like they are in CA and some other places--I do love them. Before we renovated here I did have a couple perennial poppies left by my parents, similar to your flowers, but the excavator got them before I did :-( Your photos are lovely
