A rush of lust and desire hit me
like a ton of bricks up side my head.
Had to sit down a minute, rest,
think about so much that was said.
He said, "you alright, you want wait"
then she chimed in, " baby you Okay"?
Sharron said daddy just needs a moment
before long we'll all be on our way.
Seems like a parade followed us
the ride was a blur till Amy called
saying people are already here
both inside and outside the hall.
Walgreen signs flashing
discount stores inviting us to stop.
Some one waving like they were nuts
Oh, that's Captain Dorn, a friendly cop.
Streets just slid by in a fog
reminding me we had played a part.
In my crowded solitude I felt strange
with this huge lump in my heart.
Ah, that big ole parking lot
whose that approaching me
damn near knocked me down
hugging squeezing relentlessly.
Words seemed to dance
up from some sort of daze
knowing I was wide awake
but in a slow motion phase.
Like a bad trip on LSD
lust and desire kept its grip
A rock star walking in a crowd
greeting folks trying not to slip.
A banquet of foods she loved
spread out in grand display.
Aromas mixing, foods and colognes
I got to make it through this day.
All these people stirring in a mix
like a kaleidoscope changing fast.
I've got to make it all look good
so this time will quickly pass.
So many hugs and wishes of love
some stories I had long forgot.
Amy and Steve also in a fog
so many loved mom a lot.
Each one bringing a scene
part of what played on life's stage.
Grands, uncles, aunts, friends
all helping us turn her last page.
They came to celebrate Judy
lift her up to heaven's cloud.
All I could do was smile thank you's
soaking in it all pleased and proud.
At first I thought it a mirage
Liz came rushing down the hall.
Her spiritual glow leading the way
as if raven had put out a call.
Emotions stirred like a stew
nothing quite actually clear
The love and warmth rose higher
so many friends a family near.
I made it thru that day
lust and desire present as if a duty.
All those people came to pay respects
and to celebrate my love, Miss Judy.

Hugs~
Pardoned
For Mom Lewis
by Heather L. Campbell
June 24,1999
Yesterday, a prisoner was set free.
No more suffering in her failed body,
No longer days spent lying in her bed,
No longer living her life in her head.
All those years she was in that home.
Even with visitors she was all alone.
She's free, she's free to sing and dance.
She's free, she's free of her circumstance.
All who knew her, loved her sweet.
She was so mild, she was so meek.
Underneath her deep quiet ways,
She thought a lot before she'd say.
Please "Celebrate her new life today!"
Though others may find that odd to say,
She's free, she's free, there's no more torment,
She's free, with the Lord for every moment.
All my love to you and yours at this time...Heather
love,
Z'
This waking dream, you trying to accept the warmth of friends and yet, allowing them to soothe you takes away from the sorrow you feel you owe.
So many good stories in this one piece Spencer, laughing through tears is one of my favorite things.
Keep your chin up so Judy can see the love still shining on your face my friend.
Someone will need to hear the words you've written it could be a life saver for someone
who must walk a mile in your shoes.
I appreciate you being there as part of the warmth and love for us.
I wish that I could have been there to show my support but I know that Liz being there as our Gather envoy was just as great.
Please know that you will continue to be in my prayers and I know that Judy is looking over you now with that pride that she has had for you from the beginning.
You were priviledged to care for her, and she to care for you. Love like yours grew because you nurtured one another, and may you ALWAYS know that Judy, Beautiful Lovely Judy, is far better off without the constraints of a body which betrays her.
Bless you, my friend.
