What's new with you?  So many people, so much going on in the world, share what's going on in yours.  Today I finished a big project in my boys' room, getting it clean and ready for the start of school.  My daughter and I did crafts together and I am reading a real nail-biter by Harlen Coben.  May not sound earth shattering, but that's what makes it so lovely.

Today was the first day of school here. My daughter started high school today, and I had mixed feelings about that all day. It is hard to see her growing up so fast. I just hate to let go even a little. :-)

Tomorrow is my son's first day of school - he's a junior in high school this year. Well today I walked across town to my job at the pizza place, worked there for four hours, then walked home in the heat. Once here I spent time with my boyfriend and we watched two movies together. Typical day for us. Not much online time. . . and now that I'm here, I'm too tired to write anything productive. I'm about to turn off the computer, finish a book I'm reading, and start writing reviews, in longhand.

Stephanie, I know how you feel. Both of my boys are in high school. It is such a major step. My daughter starts kindergarten after Labor Day and I have mixed feelings about that. They are just not completely yours once they start school.

Bundy - I hope they passed muster. Hold on to whatever papers they gave you because our lovely students often lose them. I love when my son says, "No homework," and I can see on the sheet that his teacher gives him homework every night!" LOL

Linda, I know how that is. Sometimes I find myself sitting at the computer, just staring, no typing. I wake up out of it and realize I should just give up for the day.

Vickie, I have not gotten my "winter purse" yet, you just reminded me. Your dining room will get straightened out, don't worry. You are so brave to throw out the clothes you don't wear. I know that I should, but I always think, "Well, maybe SOMEDAY..." I know I just have to get tough.

I started school on Monday. I am taking almost all Library Science classes this semester. It is my second semester back in over a decade and the first one with this many units, 18.:)

I have a problem throwing out clothes too. I have suits in boxes from a past career/life that I just can't part with even though I haven't worn them in years. I just figure that I might need them some day and it would cost so much to replace them!
Let's see... We're moving Friday, just a few feet away, and I haven't started packing yet. I think I'll read a bit instead. LOL!

Nothing new much here Anya, just getting ready to start going through a lot of collectibles I have over so many years, and thinking of putting them up on Ebay, good way to get rid of them, will take a big loss, but better than trying to move them to a smaller place if I have to down the line. I never realized how much stuff I could get during 27 years in one apartment. Now I have my husbands things to do something with too, have no idea what. I wish I lived where I could have a yard sale, a lot easier than packing stuff to ship out, but guess I am having to get at it. Why did you ask this question, lol, I may have to really think about this now.

Angela, there is nothing I hate more than moving. I've even been known to read amidst the boxes and chaos.

Elsie, good luck with your downsizing. But be judicious. When I moved, I got rid of a lot of things, and there have been a few of them that I wish I had kept.
I need a nap. That's all that's new around here. :-P

My three youngest kids are finishing their first week of school. My son's a high school junior & my twin daughters are college freshmen. My hubby comes home today from a business trip and that is a good thing. I have to get up from this pc and get ready to go to work and that is a sad thing.
