I studied this a couple of years ago.
If you have seen this don't answer please. Don't google it. Just try and answer. There is no wrong or right answer.
Here is the question.
A woman is at her mother's funeral. There she meets a man, who is a friend of the family but she doesn't personally know. She is captivated by him but he leaves without her getting his name.
The next day she kills her sister. Why?

It is because he left with her sister.
He remembers that the woman in question was his past "tormentors" sibling who always stood by and watched things happen. The woman never did any thing to him, but never did anything about it either.
So, he decides to "kill two birds with one stone". He doesn't want the woman dead but punished at least for her crime.
The man (who discovered he had telepathic abilities) goes to the funeral and gives the woman telepathic command to kill her sister later that evening. When the woman gets home that evening, she does exactly as commanded as if in a trance. She has no idea why she needs to do this but she does.
The woman goes to prison after being found guilty, and the sister is dead. The man is pleased and moves on to his next victim from the circle of high school fiends!
However, the creative side of me says that this man actually killed her mother and was in cahoots with the sister for the insurance money. Sociopath-Sister, killed her sister (let's call her Money-Sister) when she realized that by killing MS she would actually inherit.
SS plotted MS' death, and informed hunky guy - even soliciting his help by seducing him during mom's wake - and the murder was actually committed in the wee hours of the next morning, as MS lay sleeping in her bed.
I put it down to me reading a lot of crime fiction when I was young. I'm really a nice person. ;-)
I hope this is normal -- and I really do want to know the "abnormal" response so can you mail it to me, Lori?
Ann B creative but you too are normal
Karel I will do. Ann I will email you too.
M P I will email you.
Um Juan I dont know what to say....you got it right.

Doris LOL...I think you will be ok...have fun at your reunion.
Lisa B you got it wrong...you should be happy.
Angela that is a very good book and you are right not all sociopaths are serial killers.
Nuf said.
So she kills her sister in order to see the lovely man again! (:
I probably would too,
I mean how else would you see him again?
Anyway that's the only thing that really makes sense for this.
so she could see him at her sisters funeral
derp..it's so obvious
Umm I was thinking maybe she didn't get the guys name because she was too nervous or self conceded she didn't feel she could make that big move because of her sister maybe her sister is soo awesome and perfect has no trouble with getting guys maybe her sister has cast a shadow over her that she couldn't fill and so by killing her that shadow is relieved. She doesn't have to compete anymore ... she's free now. I hope that makes sense
The woman killed her sister so she could see that man again, though this time it will be at her sister's funeral.
I really don't see how anyone could not get this.
anyway
you shouldn't have told them ... but hey its somethings like common sense right, so everyone should get it .. but i was stunned when i found out that not everyone gets it and up to this day i cant get why some people cant get it.
if what i wrote doesn't make sense to some people .. don't blame me :P
BUT, If he's someone you've never met, there's only one sure fire way to see him again, obviously he knows the family, so at she'd probably see him at another funeral, hence the murdering of her sister :)
first i analysis the question, not because i want to get a "right" answer its just how my mind works. i claim up with three reasons why you would ever kill someone, self defense, emotion, and money. i then crossed out self defense, with the setting it would unlikely the sister to attack the person, there are more situations but have ever a lower chance of happening. next was emotion, it is possible for them to kill the sister about some emotional factor, like if she has resentment towards her which can also fit in if the sister seems to take away the men from her. or she emotionally enjoy killing the sister for no reason, but unlikely. now its money, i first thought, "how is that possible?" but i realize her mothers will, if her mother left something for both of them, would she get more if she killed the sister. so after all of this i put myself in this position, i wouldn't kill someone for emotion, to smart for that, people come and go. i would kill someone in self defence , but that's not likely to had happen, so i'm going with she killed her sister so she can get more money, out of the will. i mean, i would kill someone for money, sure it depends on the person, i won't kill the head of the peta people, but i would kill hitler.
