This morning I got an email from my boyfriend linking this article.
I usually don't pay attention to the announcement of new shows coming to the various TV networks. I'm the kinda girl that will catch something new if the adds and promos look promising but this really got to me.
Fox is now looking to produce a traditional Western with a Science Fiction twist. The sentence alone does not really seem that offensive to most people, but I'm one of millions of Firefly fans.
Firefly. You know, the sci-fi western that Fox signed Joss Whedon for and promptly showed in the wrong order and ruined THEMSELVES before canceling. The show that promptly went on to make a killing in DVD sales, had its own movie and made a killing in DVD sales of THAT as well. The show that Fox Network killed because they refused to show in order.
Now, since they've seen what a powerful audience the show they ruined commands they want to make something similar with a different directer and call it innovative? I have many problems with this. It's just another reason I can't stand Fox.

I'm a bit of a Browncoat, so yeah, this just figures.*
(*For the uninitiated, a Browncoat is a fan of "Firefly" and "Serenity". You really need to Google it...)
