WHY BABIES SHOULD NOT BE DISCARDED

Here are a few reasons why I believe children are worth saving.  Perhaps you can think of others and would like to add to the list.

1.   Children are like a bouquet of flowers; even the ones facing the wrong way are beautiful.

2.    Plant a seed, nurture the plant, and it will bloom for you.

3.   The sun is to a plant as a warm hug is to a child.

4.   When children are little their heads are closer to their hearts.

5.   Teach them to be happy, for it is better to be alive for one day than dead for a whole lifetime.

6.   Teach your children to whistle, then teach them to read.

7.   If your parents had loving children, the chances are you will too.

8.   Learn to differentiate between the child and the deed.

9.   If you want your children to spend time with you when you're old, spend time with them when they're young.

10.  Shower your child with praise as the heavens shower the earth with rain.

11.  If you want to understand your children, get to know their friends.

12.  Learning their lessons is not as important as remembering them.

13.  Teach your children to be kind to the rich and the needy.

14.  When your child asks you a question tell her just enough to arouse her interest.

15.  That all the world's peoples love their children is a proof of the oneness of mankind.

16.  Always tell your child the truth, but don't always be telling it.

17.  If you are inclined to say "no" or "yes", consult first with your spouse to see if there is agreement.

18.  Treat your child like a prince and he won't turn into a frog.

19.  Your child is not as old as he thinks he is, but is a lot older than you think he is.

20.  Children will learn to tread the spiritual path with practical feet if you provide them with two things:  roots and wings.

21.  If you don't teach them not to fear the dark, they'll soon begin to fear the dusk too.

22.  Tell your children what they're doing right.

23.  Your children are not yours.
