Last point check in for the night

Never can have too many points...I picked up a couple off my recent "experiment".

Have a glass or 9 for me Jennifer! I'm getting ready for a speed trip from Detroit to Charlston W.Va. in the morning. Ack, I am not looking forward to the drive back, on HWY 35, in the dark, with the chain saw weilding maniacs, and the deer and the weirdness. My kids hate that stretch of road. I swear it's in black and white like a twilight zone episode.
*sigh*

I have not checked today, yet.

I will be checking & writing on it soon, though.

Ha David! I just made another comment to Jennifer and mentioned that cursed stretch of road again there.
My kids are 15,16,17 so they are wide awake and giving a running comentary on the oddness, we laugh to live, as we are convinced were going to bite the big one there one day. My oldest daughter especially hates it, and it DOES change when the sun goes down! I'm willing to bet my life of that! Neither of my daughters will drive it, even in broad daylight hehe, once we hit the T at the end of 34...it's into Wendy's parking lot and Mom has to drive. sheesh...I raised a couple of wussies eh?

I'm meeting my daughter in W.Va. at my aunts house to come home for a week (she's in school in NC, but starts at Ohio State next year!), then we are going back down to NC for Easter Sunday, then back home again. No, I'm not from Detroit, (I am just..from America- read my Tagged article dangit!) but we live in the burbs of said sad city. We are moving in June, so I finally get to escape this hated bit of earth.
It cuts time off our trip too, thats why we take it. That and it's fun to be freaked out in the middle of nowhere!
You are like us! We go from Michigan to NC about 5 times a year, and from here to W.Va another 10 or so. I'll be so glad when Evan is situated in Ohio, SO much closer!
I also travel to Illinois several times a year, to Rochelle. I have friends there and we trade off taking the trip.
I've been running the roads since birth:) I hope I'm never to old to stop.

And is the road to Rochelle which I can't think of the hwy...not the longest most boring stretch of hwy on the planet?

Holy crap,
Have you ever been to the theater in downtown Rochelle? Well, what passes for a downtown. It is, um, special. A must see/visit/experience. Would I steer you wrong?
