Slump

The other day I was driving along the express way and was watching the color change of the sunset. It was absoultly beautiful, and then.... I got this horrible feeling in my gut, and realized that:

I'm just done with sunset shots. I've seen so many pretty ones, I've taken some sweet photos.

But really, I'm done.

Its kinda like "you've seen one, you've seen them all" kinda thing.  I'm just bored with them.

And as I was thinking this, another thought hit me.. 

If I am gonna make it as a photographer, I need something new, something fresh, something that hasnt been done....

I need to think not only outside of the box, but outside of the box that that box is in.

I've photographed children, flowers, trees, people, nature, buildings... Dont get me wrong, I am very satisfied with the things I have done; These are my bread and butter shots, the ones that make me money. However, they allow me no potential for artistic development.

So..

Soultion?

Up to now I have looked at every day things and put them into a light that hasnt been noticed. I need to take things that HAVE'NT  been noticed and put them  to light in an artistic way.

Its a new year, new ideas and time for some shock value.
