Read all the books on My 2008 TBR Challenge
Welcome Lists, Lists, and More Lists members and anyone who should happen across this list.
One of the reading challenges I participate in each year is to read at least 12 books (one per month) that I designate in January, because they have been in my To Be Read pile for at least six months. Last year I failed miserably, only reading six of them. I think my problem is that I picked books that I really didn't have a lot of hopes of reading because I didn't care about them one way or another. This year I'm picking 12 that I REALLY want to read. I have the added pressure (in a good way) that I have added or will add them to a virtual book box that I trade with friends who all want to read the books from Dr. Peter Boxall's "1,001 Books You Must Read Before You Die" list. (red text indicates I've finished the book.)
- The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Gilman
- Persuasion by Jane Austen
- Saturday by Ian McEwan
- Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck

- The Tenant of Wildfell Hall by Anne Bronte

Beverly - great idea :) The point of my exercise though is to read and remove books that are currently on my physical bookshelf, taking up space for something new.
Happy reading!
Thanks for the update!
