Safe Journeys
Curious, will you be focusing on African music exclusively? Have you or would you like to perform with string jazz musicians? I don't mean a bass-fiddle, though that's certainly a string instrument, but I mean those jazz musicians/fiddlers that take my breath away like Darol Anger, Mark O'Connor, Andy Stein.
A couple of my favorite female vocalists from Africa: Lura and Rokia Traore (accent that last letter). Their shows were almost indescribable. I saw them at the Cedar Cultural Center (different dates), but seeing them in France or Africa would, I'm betting, be out of this world.
I'm sorry I missed you here. My loss.
