I was very happy about how the book started. Action and plot advancement then.... AGGG the on the run stuff just seemed to take forever. But thankfully it got going again.

Kreatcher gets a lot more interesting. I actually started to like him. Never would have thought that was possible from the other books.

I liked Mad Eye...such a shame he was blasted outta the sky...but it didn't shock me.

The stuff about DD took me by surprise but I guess it whopuldn't have we all have a dark side. He gave into his for a while but we know how he turned out. So ,.. for the Greater God... so to speak.

I did find it interesting that Viktor Krum was invited to the wedding...I loved his comment about what's the point being a Quittitch star if you can't get the pretty girl...that cracked me up.

There were a lot of characters that I was fond of in the previous books that were nowhere to be seen in this book. But I guess you can't have it all.

I'm wondering if Daniel Radcliffe and company will look too old by the time they get around to filming this movie.

I really didn't see the point of killing off hedwig. Just to make Harry really alone?? Lose the last thing he loved, next to Ron and Hermy.

Yeah I liked that (Krum) too. It was a nice way for Harry to get info and still bring in someone we knew.

There were a few I sould have like to have seen get bigger roles. More character info: Luna, Neville, Lupin. What were they all doing how did they do it. But that would have made the book longer, but I still would have read it.

I don't want to give anything away in case people are anticipating some of their favorite minor characters to show up. By the way, I loved the article about your daughter winning the costume contest. She must have been thrilled!

With the movies, I am amazed that they can coordinate it so that the same actors are back in their roles for each installment.

Was anyone surprised by Ron leaving them?? I wasn't shocked as this kind of behavior is forshadowed in GoF. But I was disappointed.

I was disappointed with Ron, but at that point something had to happen because the plot line was dragging a little. I think Ron might have been affected by the Horcrux and that may have been an instigator in his abrupt departure.

I really thought Harry woud get more in DD's will then just the stuff to complete the quest. Not that he needed more stuff but somthing to keep of HIS you know.

I have to say that I was very impressed with everything Hermione was able to fit into her hand bag. I wish I could do that! That would make for a great diaper bag!

Hehe I definitely do not want to spoil anything, but yes I will admit I wish the trio's peers had bigger roles, since they are very MIA at this point. Let me just say, though, Kreacher's Tale had my tears flowing like crazy! I was SO HAPPY when Harry and Kreacher's relationship turned around 180 degrees...the image of Kreacher in a clean white towel, and cottony white hair sounded so cute! Did anyone else get as excited about the Kreacher thing as I did?

Best line EVER : "Perhaps just once more, Master Harry, for luck?"

Yes he was affected by the locket, but it just intensified the feeling HE was already having. Maybe he wouldnt have left but he was still mad to beging with, and knowing Ron... it MAY have happened anyway.

Yes, a bag of holding, it was very useful - especially as it had no weight. Everyone should have one.

I think they should have had a lot more "FUN" with Umbridge, left something there to cause her more trouble, she really didn't get her just dessersts, she never learned anything. Was a little disappointed in that.

More of the twins would have helped, I loved it when George joked about losing his ear. "Saintly" I doubt I could have been that flippant about an injury like that. Shows that they were made of sterner stuff than I gave them credit for.

Hermoine getting rid of her parents was the bravest and most heroic thing for a child to do. Leaving them with NO memory of her, that must have really hurt her.

Janet, That was mine too. I think even more so because the first movie hadn't come out yet. I had created a clear vision of what I thought the characters looked like and what their surroundings were like from Rowling's descriptions.

Sorry I'm late! (had... to... finish... I've been in communication exile since Friday evening just in case - I was SO afraid when I went to roller derby last night that someone was going to say something and I was only halfway through!!!)

Trivia Answer: Evans

Chapters 1 - 15: I don't know if anyone else feels this way, but I always feel a little be jarred when Rowling gives us non-Harry-centric narrative. Ninety percent (I'd guess) of the books involve Harry and his movements. When we "travel" with someone else, I know something important is going to happen - why else would we leave behind the central character? The chapters where we leave Harry and see what is happening away from him happen to be some of my favorites in the series.

I was annoyed that I kept launching into Lord of the Ring's Gollum every time the trio swapped the Locket Horcrux. "I covets the Precious." I just couldn't help myself.

My favorite book of the series was DEFINITELY Prisoner of Azkaban. I loved getting know about Harry's parents and was totally shocked about Sirius' revelations.

Lily Evans.....I think my favorite book would be the first simple because it was so special...and everything was new. But so far my favorite movie is GOF. I found the traveling around in a tent a little tedious, but I don't know if that was just because I was racing thru the book to get to the end. I'll know more after I read it for the second time, leisurely.

mine was the first, its a classic and the first is always the best, and then last one i loved it and was quite sad that its over...
Mary they don't want people like me popping in and giving away the rest of the book. Like if I said "Don't worry, Ron comes back." and they haven't gotten to that part yet. Or like if I said "Voldemort is like Darth Vader when he says in parseltongue 'But, Harry, I am really your father'" and gave away the ending or something.
