Picoult Fans: Review a Signed Advance Readers Copy of Jodi's Newest, Nineteen Minutes

I've been a Picoult fan since I picked up The Pact on a break at my bookstore job, sometime back around '97. I like the way she'll blend a story of human error and often misguided love into a courtroom drama: it's hard to put her books down once you've been drawn in. Plus, I like the idea of being able to recommend it to all my voracious-reader friends before it hits the shelves.

Three reviewers will be selected at the sole discretion of the Gather Books Editor from all respondents based on the quality and content of their comment.

I'm ashamed to admit I have not read a single novel by Jodi Picoult, though I am a fan of her column, This Writer's Life, in Writer's Digest. My review of Nineteen Minutes would bring fresh insights, helping to cultivate a new audience among would-be readers.

Having just finished Jodi Picoult's book, "The Tenth Circle" this past week, I am extemely ready to read her newest work, "Nineteen Minutes." Not only do I love to read, but as an adult college student I don't have a lot of time or money. So when I read fiction, I want a really great escape from my own life, which Jodi Picoult readily provides, and due to lack of funds, I probably won't be able to purchase, read, and recommend this book to everyone who will listen, anytime in the near future. Therefore, it is in everyone's best interest to mail a copy to me right away!

I haven't read any of her work before- but that just makes me entirely objective.

I've never even heard of her before but I would like to read her book. It looks interesting so since I've never read any books by her or know anything about I can be entirely objective and not say that I liked when I didn't since I haven't read anything by her. I LOVE to read, books are my life. I've been reading since the age of 5 or something (maybe even sooner) and I've always wanted to read more. In fact I've got TONS of books on my bookshelf that I haven't even read yet because I love books SOO much. I'd greatly appreciate the chance to read and then review her book. Nineteen is my favorite number and has always been very special to me. When I saw the title of this new book, I was curious about what the nineteen minutes could possibly mean to the author. From the coupling hands on the cover, I imagined there to be a relationship, and nineteen minutes could be the time it took to change the course of a relationship. I would enjoy reading this book to find out the secret behind the title and sharing my reaction to it with others.

Jodi Picoult became my favorite author as soon as I made it to Chapter 2 of "My Sister's Keeper." I immediately began to read all of her books, asking my local Borders to order each of the titles they did not have in stock. The amount of research she puts into her books makes each of them a truly unique experience, with characters to whom you cannot help but grow attached. I bought "The Tenth Circle" (with the Borders coupon that was released just for that title) the day it came out and have been anxiously awaiting the March release of "Nineteen Minutes" ever since. I am planning on visiting her at her Bailey's Crossroads appearance on March 23rd and would love to be able to introduce myself as one of her early reviewers.

I feel that my passion for her writing and ability to discuss how it compares and contrasts to her past publications make me a perfect fit to review this new book. Selfishly, I would love to have the chance to read it before it is released! Thank you, Gather, for this opportunity.

I have a special section in my library specifically for my collection of Jodi's books, which have been enjoyed over and over again by many in my family. Every work is a treasure that I cherish for her flawless ability to investigate human emotion and complex relationships.

Unlike most authors who write sequels, Jodi Picoult writes each book that is different from the last. With sensitivity, she deals with different cultures, professions, and social issues based on fact. Every book leaves the reader with a surprise that is ingenious. She is a truly gifted writer.
Since discovering Jodi Picoult, I have read each of her books in succession. The honor to review "Nineteen Minutes" would be very special. I have just retired as a high school teacher/administrator, so I have the time and background to critique Picoult's newest work.

I have read 7-8 of Jodi Picoult's books and the first one I read, remains my favorite, "My Sister's Keeper". I loved her style of telling the story through the eyes of all of the different people effected by the medical/moral dilemna. I felt for and understood each of their perspectives because Picoult was able to get inside thier skins and explain thier situation.
I always feel like although I'm reading fiction, I learn something new from her novels and I know that she must do a good deal of research for her stories in order to be able to write in such detail about the Native American community in New Mexico, or the Amish community in Pennsylvania.
Each of her books has been a little treat to read I look forward to seeing what topic she will tackle next.

I've never written a book review unless book reports count, and I haven't written one of those in a long time. I've read only two of Picoult's books: My Sister's Keeper and The Pact. What I recall most from both books was the drive of the storyline. The characters seemed almost too well drawn - the perfect foils for the plot, and therefore, just a shade unrealistic. Certainly, I was drawn enough into the story of one book to read another. I am sure that Nineteen Minutes will present a well researched, topical, and thought provoking issue. I can promise a thorough read and a respectful treatment.

I've been a Picoult fan for several years. I'm friends with our Library Manager and turned her AND our book club on to Picoult. Love the human touch!

I am a fairly recent Jodi Picault fan and have only read two of her books (so far - but I plan to read more). What draws me to her books is the fact that they focus on relevant issues and ethical dilemas. I find them to be very thought-provoking and I find myself reflecting on my own values. What do I really think about the issue that she presents? What would I do in that same situation? One reason her books are so thought-provoking is that the story is told through the perspective of different characters in the book. You come to understand each character - their different views of the central issue and their different ways to reacting to the events around them. I would love the opportunity to review her newest book, particularly because I am ready to read another one of her books and because the topic is yet another relevant issue as I work with youth at my church and school violence is something that we talk about on occasion.

Jodi Picout's fame has spread like a brush fire and with good reason; she writes tightly plotted, character-driven novels that focus on the themes and issues we face today.

I love her books, that are so great

I would be interested in reviewing. I am actually without a good book to read at the moment and have been looking for some new authors and titles to give a spin. I have more free time now and would like to stop spending so much of it reading online..

i havent read any of Jodi Picoult's novels,but this nineteen minutes sounds quite interesting, so would definitely like to read it.

She's quite the writer.
