Those hallowed halls held all those books
The knowledge of the world
Now burned to the ground, all is ash
Blown by the wind in a swirl
Whoever would do such a dastardly thing
One must be terribly ill
Perhaps just playing with matches
Trying to get a thrill
I wonder if the thrill was found
by someone not meaning to do it
In burning the library to the ground
Ghostly wonderful minds, surely had a fit
So much history gone up in smoke
The poetry that love has scribed
The wondrous adventure novels
I'm relieved that copies are archived

Very good story Elsie.
As much of a technophile as I am, I remain a devoted bibliophile. The smell and feel of books cannot be replaced by some electronic device.
