Birth
This is the deepest of all partings,
Foreshadowing reunions and re-partings:
The first breath,
The found thumb,
The day you walked,
and walked away,
I saw a future memory
Of things beyond control:
Of treasures swept downstream,
And a child torn from my body
As rivers tear time from their banks.
We travel the same current
In different moments,
In-dependent
And alone.

You sound as though you appreciate the strength of that gift.
The hardest moment in life, is to realize that we are only the diving board.
We are not the pool, nor the lifeguard, nor the water itself.
Life is the water.
Pass it on.
This is beautiful. I am so glad you put pen to paper, or fingertips to keyboard.
You had me re-visiting my own "independence" unsought, from my babes.
It is a growing moment for all of us~~each of us; and all of them, too.
Bless you, good-momma. Bless you.
Wilka
This, dear heart, is truly beautiful.
A love defining moment is when the babe calls the new grandma, and says something like, "Oh, my, God! You were right!"
Your's is coming, that recogniation that we did something worthy. Really worthy. And life happens on.
Wilka
We ARE all working toward new and growing relationships--with everyone, daily. I forget that all the time, and expect, too often, people to remain static. I am continually surprised by life.
Blessings,
Wilka
Congratulations.
with no other reasoning to be expected...
nice to meet you...
