Natural Life
She said, I love you dearly,
I replied, You're the best in the land,
She told me we ought to be married,
and then she took me by the hand!
We sashayed into the village;
and off to a preacher we went.
He had us married in the blink of an eye,
without a penny spent.
I was utterly and truly broke,
She said, That sure was how it looked.
We found a field of flowers, trees,
wildlife and a sweetly-running brook.
We thought we'd make this home,
so we took all that we had;
danced off to the market in town,
which turned out not so bad.
With some change we bought veggies,
and off again we went,
to our little natural garden of eden,
and pitched our big old tent.
Now it's ten years later,
and here we still live.
We've long since had Junior,
and been joined by chickens and a pig!

it might be the way to go
so many couples get lost
when life tosses to and fro
Good stuff
Very mild climate, Connecticut! Seriously, there are tent-people year round here, though with the cold winters, I don't know how they survive.
Good for you, chica, if you made it work, and loved your way through it.
Right On.
Wilka
It has a certain sound
and it has a certain flow,
the plainness of the ground
but still lofty, don't you know.
It speaks of plans and life
and the simple country way
it doesn't hide the strife
nor the blessing of the day.
arlene,
Gig Harbor flowers
We'll be there all week, at least, spending time and helping to pass time with and for him.
