Just made it... My bye-bye to Gather Triple Points.

Now that the triple points promotion is coming to an end, I'm very pleased with the results.  I started with 3220 points at the start of the promo and now have 5029!  I had hoped that I'd break the 5000 mark and I just did!  Just an hour ago I was at 4990 and was afraid I'd be stuck there and never break my goal!  So I'm thrilled with my increase of 1809 points over the course of the week plus a day.

I owe it all to the wonderful folks who have commented so amazingly and posted so many wonderful photos and articles for me to add my comments to.  I didn't post anything that was Earth changing, but I had a great week and I can't complain at all about the experience. 

Before the triple points this week I was posting on average 2 articles a month.  I'd also add a few pictures in between those articles, but I wasn't anywhere near as active as I have been this week.  I don't know that I'll continue to be this active now that the week is over, but I think I'm definitely going to fall in between what I was doing and what I did this week.  

So I bid a fond adieu to the triple points as we're nearing the last hour and a half.  It's been real, it's been fun and I hope everyone managed to get what they wanted out of the time.  A big thank you to Gather and to everyone!   In a way I'm glad to see the triple points end because now I can get some more reading done.  haha.  Over all though, it's been a fun trip this week and I'll miss the extra points!

Wow, you all did so great! I did very little in comparison. I only made $16. I wouldn't know how to make over 150 points per hour! I posted a lot and received lot of comments. I made as many comments as I could. But I didn't spend 18 hours a day on Gather like I did when I was trying to make the cash option.

I am too old to do that very much. LOL

$16 is good if you ask me. I've never managed to even make the cash option so you're doing something right, Wanda! I couldn't do 18 hours a day on a good day! I need too much sleep to be able to handle that!

I'm not really sure how I did it either, Angel! I just posted a lot of photos, posted one or two articles a day and then returned all the comments that were made on my stuff along with searching out others to comment on. I think mostly it was the commenting that got me the points.

You did great! you got about the same as what I got ..I think I was around 1850 points for the week. I had fun, and I didn't really post much more than I usually do.. I commented a little more maybe and looked at a lot more pictures than I normally do.. but i dont feel like I spent much more time than I usually do here, and I still made 1850 points in a week.. not too shabby. I feel like a slacker though compared to some people I've seen who got 3000 or 5000!! YIKEs LOL

Thanks, Suze! Sounds like you did well too! Wow, that's impressive that some got 3000-5000 points! I suppose I could have gone really crazy and tried for that, but I just wanted a little bit more than normal. I didn't come on until afternoon any day and didn't post as much as I could. I looked at it more as practice for getting into the habit of writing more instead of just once or twice a month. Don't know that I'll stick with it, but it was a fun experiment.
