"WAR IS SELDOM WITHOUT LOSS"
Soldiers
of daring boldness, intrepid courage;
Alignthemselves for duties' call.
Caution
beckons, yet death awaits;
Relentless
battles take them all.
Inherent
are the pangs of death;
For
war is seldom without loss.
Inside
the throngs of destined blazes,
Carry
the waning soldier's cross.
Each
goes down in our history's journal
Sealed in the heart of "The Eternal".

Barbra:
This is a touching ACROSTIC poem that reverently expresses the valiancy of our brave men and women. I love how the descriptive beginning of their character sets the tone for their call; their bravery and caution will long outlive the pangs of death they have suffered. And how true it is that "Each goes down in our history's journal--Sealed in the heart of "The Eternal". I LOVE THAT!!!
Powerful brevity honoring those worthy of being honored!
