By the way--no new photos? I love your photos too. ;) CS
Hidden eyes peer through porous walls
Where shadowy patterns hover
Wrapped away like a dark secret
She slips away to meet her lover
Carol - your poem is cinematic in scope, like one of those historical romances starring Errol Flynn as Robin Hood, or Sir Lawrence Olivier in one of his majestic roles. You capture the lure of a thousand ages and a thousand pages, all in one evocative scene on the high seas of a dashing captain's adventurous life. We sense the furtive secrets of a noble love intertwined with brief encounters of exquisite peace. A joy to read, you must write more!
Photographs to be posted soon....
Blessings and best wishes - S.
Thank you, Sheryl, Svetlana, and Ishbel! The dome of this building has always captured and held my imagination.
The words and the rhyme, sublime!
Thanks, Curt!
