Okay, I admit it.
I need an intervention.
I reached that decision after wrestling with myself over diced tomatoes.
Yes, canned diced tomatoes.
I hate tomatoes.
But with my coupons I could get them for 13 and a half cents a can. I was trying to convince myself I could eat them when I realized,
I am a junkie!
Are there any 12 step programs for coupons?
Step 1
Admit you have a problem. (I do- I don't like tomatoes. That's what started all this!)
Step 2
Put down the scissors. However much you may believe it, they are not an extension of your hand. You will reap an immediate reward when your kids are not scared to run around you anymore. You will slowly remember how to hug with 2 arms, not one arm around the child and the other clutching your "coupon liberators".
Step 3
Sunday means more than "coupon day". Explore other ways to fill your time. (And no, that does not mean stand at the end of a register watching other people shop with coupons, hoping for a "contact high"!)
Step 4
I'll have to think of the other steps later. I, uh, have to run to the store…
(If I stick diced tomatoes in a blender, I wonder if I could make tomato sauce?)

The other day I got about $40 worth of groceries for $17.
