DRABBLE:
Mindless Drivel - 100 words
Tom and Alice lazily sat at the dinner table shuffling through blank papers, when all of a sudden Alice said, “My mind seems blank.”
“Perhaps you could draw.” Tom suggested.
“No, I might draw a blank.” she said, “I mean, my mind might draw a blank on what to draw.”
“Perhaps you could just ponder.” he proposed.
“But over what?” Alice sneered.
“Maybe over these blank pieces of paper,” Tom shiftily retorted.
“But blank is nothing over which to ponder. It’s uneventful, unproductive and shows complete absence of awareness.” Alice emphasized.
“Bingo! A fit description of this conversation.” Tom chuckled!
