I signed up for Gather, oh, seven or eight days ago, but who's counting...that was my previous life. I was a Hunter then, now I'm a Gatherer. Anyway, one of the first people I connected with was Laura Cushing. Can't remember why. She seemed nice or funny or smart, or all three. Still does.
I quickly started to notice that everywhere I go on Gather, reading articles, clicking profiles, I am connected to just about everyone, it seems by no more than two connections, via Laura Cushing.
I don't mean to embarrass her, but I have to wonder, is Ms. Cushing the Kevin Bacon of Gather?
Example: Just to prove my theory, I brought up Gather on another screen and went and clicked on the last Article published, "What's Wrong With PBS," by Andy S. Sure enough:

I have a Laura Cushing number of 1!
I'm not sure what my Bacon number is. I have a Harrison Ford number of 3 and a Steven Spielberg number of 2 though, does that count for anything?
(Directly connected to Laura; From a virtual standpoint, that is).
