What happened on Dancing with the Stars? It's a New Season!

Dancing with the Stars season 9 started tonight on ABC.  Half of the contestants hit the floor with two routines each.  Who did Bruno Tonioli call "a little dancing Hobbit"?  Was Tom DeLay surprising in a good way or a bad way?  Curious?  Here's my recap.

I caught myself wanting to run to the computer to see what others thought about how grumpy Lynn and Bruno were acting.
I'm so glad it's back.
