The fifth results show of the Fall 2007 edition of Dancing with the Stars aired this evening at 9 PM Eastern on ABC, and featured great musical acts, breathtaking dance numbers, and of course, the exit of yet another star from the competition.
The show opened with a recap of the highlights (and lowlights) of yesterday's performances, including quick snippets from the judges' critiques and comments from the celebrity confessionals. Special attention was given to Marie's fainting episode, and then previously unaired footage of her getting up from the floor and bowing to the crowd was shown. Tom and Samantha then reviewed the current leaderboard standings, which featured Marie and Jonathan and Mark and Kym tied for last place with 22 points each, and Melanie and Maksim in the lead with a score of 29. Mel and Maks had the honor of performing their Samba as the week's encore dance.

but my best friend is a huge fan and
watches it every time. I think that I
would enjoy it more if I actually start watching
from the start of the season instead of just
catching a show here and there.
