An article to help you save a little money on college.

 I wrote an article on associated content telling about parallel enrollment. This is a program that lets my daughter attend college during her last year of high school.  The program is not one that is highly advertised.  You will need to talk to your child's counselor to make sure it is in your area. It sure sounds great, my sons aren't even in elementary yet, but I hope the program is still around, when they do start college.

From what my daughters counselor told me the program has been around for many years but few know about it to take advantage of it. My daughter is taking on class it is costing me $195.00 total. The class is three credits and the first step to a degree in English. I could not be prouder of her.

I took classes at Cal State Fullerton when I was in high school. It really gave me a jump when I entered college and I was able to take higher level classes than my school offered. It helped a lot with the boredom factor, because school wasn't very challenging for me at the time.

That sounds like such a great program, I am surprised they don't let more people know about it.

It's great that your daughter is getting a head start on college, and I think it is wonderful that she is valuing her education as opposed to some high schoolers who are just looking to party it up. As a mom myself, I can tell you must be very proud of your daughter :)
