AC Adds Slide Shows

Oh yes, now you can post slide shows to your heart's content on AC. The good part is you do not have to resize your images like you do on Gather. You can put as many or as few as you want into your slide shows... and once it is out of Beta, you will earn hit bonus on them.

the bad news is, when you get to Step 4 of the process, the system gets really buggy. It took me 2 and a half hours just now to put in this slide show:

Step 4 is where you drag which pictures you want in the current slide show from the left side of the page to the right. The glitch I encountered was a blank left side... yet I could grab from it blindly. Also, once in the right side, some of them tiled on me. I had to edit probably about 8 times to get it where it is now... and the system was slooooooow...

Still. Hopefully they will get the glitches fixed soo so it isn't so painful...

I didn't get that far Lori, I downloaded about 9 pictures and then everything dissappeared. I will try again. Can't wait till all the glitches are worked out.

That was great, the three picture sets really compliment each other - both sets. Great way to display all of your work.

I'd heard about this and they were allowing some images. I was indeed curious but had yet to check it out. Thanks for showing us a sample and warning us of the buggy issues.

I read in the forums on AC that different people are encountering different bugs. They are trying to get it all worked out though. I mean, these slide show can potentially bring in an explosion of hits.
