I was wondering if someone would be kind enough to answer a couple questions I have about Associated Content.
As some of you are aware, I joined there less than a month ago and submitted two articles shortly after I joined. Both were accepted and published.
My questions are: How can one choose more than one category for your article? I'd like to choose at least two seperate ones, but when I try this is unhighlights the first choice and instead chooses the second. I have tried holding down the shift button while making my choices, but this only results in every choice from the first chosen category through the last chosen category being highlighted. So, anyone know how I could choose, say tutorial and crafts or hobbies all? Right now I have succumbed to choosing only one category for my articles: Tutorial.
My second question is: Once you have submitted your article for consideration, does it notify you if you have gotten no offers or it was rejected? Or does it simply just do nothing at all after the five days have passed and you are to assume they were not interested in it?
My third (and for now, last) question is: Do you notice that if you submit more than say, four articles within the span of a few days that they are less likely to accept and give offers on them? What is your suggestion on how frequent one should submit? Any guidelines, or is it really just whatever we'd like and it does not appear to matter?
On the upside I see my page views have been updated and I went up one on my clout index. :-)
Thanks to all who take the time to help.

I think catchy titles are helpful and if you catch the eye of a few people they will no doubt follow your posts. But don't expect logic to prevail - it will not. Or if it does - it is surely not conventional scientific linear cause and effect logic.
Good luck and happy swimming.
yes you will be notified either way if accepted it will say Offer From Associated Content and if denied it will say Reply From Associated Content.
As for your third question I don't think I have been there long enough to answer that one. I am quite sure the same person doesn't read everything you submit but I would guess that they do have access to that information. Whether or not it affects getting published or not I don't know.
hope it helps.
How can one choose more than one category for your article? Hold down the control key and then you can select multiple categories for your articles

Although they try to review your article in five business days, sometimes it takes longer. When I first started, they were really behind and it took almost 11 days before my first articles were reviewed. It seemed like it was forever. I think they are caught up now, and it has been pretty close to five days....it seems so fast! :) I haven't had an offer rejected yet, but if you click on the "My Content" tab, it will tell you the status of your article. You should also get an e-mail from them.

Some people treat writing for AC like a full time job and submit 5-7 articles a day, so there are no guidelines as to the number/frequency of submissions. Do what works for you. Articles in different categories go into different cues where they are reviewed by different Content Managers (as I understand it at least), so some may be reviewed quicker than others. Your offers may vary based on the demand for the content and the person reviewing it. I have not heard or read anything about them being impacted by the number of articles submitted.
I hope that helps!
Melissa thanks bunches! I knew they said on AC that you could choose multiple categories, but was baffled how to do it.
That's exactly the info (and answer) I wanted. Good to know you can submit enough to try to make it a 'full time job' income. That was my big nagging question.
For instance, I got paid a little bit for 3 movie reviews which would have normally been rejected and was told they were accepted only because of my high valume. They normally do not take movie reviews except for those movies still in theaters...
So. Submitting a lot each day actually helps your offers.
And yes, with rejections there will be a note from the CM as to why they rejected it.
