I noticed in another thread, it was mentioned that AC is no longer paying for book reviews. Are others finding other areas that are being rejected or where pay is no longer an option?

My person .02... I was pleased to see AC keep the $5 news payment up this month, and I was surprised to be paid a few extra $'s for a product review recently, but I'm still fairly a newbie trying out different topics and styles of writing over there, so that's the extent of my wisdom! LOL
Are certain topics paying better than others? Are certain types (travel reviews, product reviews, commentaries, etc.) better received than others?
It's apparent to me from my own experience that "mainstream" topics often fare better than niche topics, and of course, the TOC's are sure wins, but I'd love to know what others have found out.

Crafts is one area that has been oddly consistent.
I use the AC Guide too and all of those articles get picked up, a big positive :)
What kind of comparative review, Lori? Like X product compared to X product or ?
