I liked it and gave it a 5 because you had a nice story to go along with the facts of your hometown. I wish I could write. I do belong to AP but haven't written anything for them. I start but when I read over my article, it sounds so amateur that I'm embarrassed to publish it.

I liked your article. It's fine, but why did they publish it? Was there a contest for stories about returning home? Was there an assignment? Is this a Gathr group?

James. Associated Content is just the name of an Internet site that buys articles. There is nothing more to it than that. It is not affiliated with Gather.

I like them quite a bit.

I will still be doing Gather. When they say you are published , it just means they can use your article on other sites and you earn money if your story is published.
Love to communicate, they accept poetry as well. You should give it a try. Thanks for your comments everybody.

How long does it take for them to actually pay once they've published you? They bought an article from me the other day and I have yet to see the payment for it.
