OK I have decided that today is the day. No more procastinating on my part. I want a cut of the action at Associated Content and to get my cut I have to write an article. That's going to happen today.

I am hoping to get some usernames of members of gather so that I can read over the articles and see exactly what is expected of me, maybe some ideas and tips, and if nothing else, at least I can pass a boring day thinking of what topic to write my article about.

This is the first I'm hearing about Associated Content - good luck, Stephani and let me know how it works out! Salud.
Associated Content is a site that pays about 3-5 bucks per article, but for some reason, I can't get up the comption to write for that site. I have promised myself that I will write this article today come hell or high water.
I guess I fear the fear of rejection of anything that I write...I know it sounds dumb.
Thanks K for sending along that link and reassuring in me that I am not alone with my insecurities about writing for AC.

it starts off at around 3-5 bucks, but the more you submit and get hits, the higher the offers get...

I have never heard of this, guess I will have to check it out and see what their rules are and how it works. Stephanie---just write it and post it, what is the worst that can happen, nothing but your time to write it and post it, Good luck. ;~)

Good luck to you at Associated Content. Personally I've never been impressed with their program but it is a good practice for writing.

Sounds like something to definitely check out! Maybe Gather needs to have a mini-course in how to maximize your membership by selling your writings. Sometimes the inspiration comes like a fountain of youth, but other times it settles down like a dormant geyser (or geezer -- am I getting that old already?). Good luck and I'll continue to enjoy your writing!

I read your article and decided to check out for myself . I was going to sign up but unfortunately , they only pay you if you live in the United States. I stayed long enough to read a couple of articles by this fellow called Barefoot. He was humorous!

Not true, Wendy. They only pay through Paypal, but you can open an account from anywhere... just use a fake US address for the AC account.
