I've updated my status to reflect my first weight loss goal of 09. My ultimate goal is to lose 25 pounds this year!
* BRIDGET AKA Gather Snow Angel is determined to lose 10 pounds before my 10th wedding anniversary: March 20th!
In 2007, I managed to lose 30 pounds. I went from a size 18 to a size 12!
In 2008, I managed to maintain my weight.
For 2009, my goal is to lose atleast 25 pounds. If I lose 25 pounds, that will put me at my "GOAL" weight! If I can lose a little more than that, I wouldn't complain! LOL!
Why did I choose my goal weight? If I reach my goal weight, I will weigh 1 pound LESS than my hubby! :)
The change I'd like to make in my life and how BOCA can help me achieve balance is simple, I'm not going on a "diet" because I don't think diets work. I'm making a lifestyle change. By making small changes in my eating and activity level, it will simply become habit. It's all about balance, moderation and support!
In addition to shedding some pounds, it will give me an overall healthier way of life. I want to be healthier and happier not only for myself but for my kids and my husband as well! By doing this for myself, it will make me a better mother and wife!

I too have demons(xtra weight) to destroy.
I was going to go on a diet but then I got pregnant again....looks like my near future is all about putting on the pounds!

Bravo for you Bridget - I love your goals - and yes, we all want to weigh less than our husbands - I would love to fit into some of those boxers mine doesn't wear - lol...
Ok...hopefully, I'll get a couple of charts done today so we can get rolling - the first step is to post something, as you and a few others have done, post something to describe why you want to lose ten pounds - why you are holding on to weight - etc. I mentioned this in my first Shedding Light post.
Today make sure you all drink water - Ok - I squeeze lemon in water and sip that - try to shoot for 8 glasses - it will be hard but start and make it a habit. Also, raw veggies - carrots can be a great snack especially those baby ones. Lots of fruit and veggies for starters to get the body cleansed. Also, try soaking in Epsom salts once a week - this will help clean you out - in many folks that ten pounds is pure waste!!!
