My resolution was to overcome my math phobia that has been keeping me from moving forward towards earning my teaching certificate!
I decided to take an Algebra class, as I'd never had Algebra before going back to college. Some of it is fairly easy, and some of it may as well be ancient Babylonian! I was on the verge of looking for a full-time job and dropping out of college due to my desperation and depression at not being able to understand WHY 25x(2) + 20xy + 2y(2) meant anything at all, or even should!! Those numbers in parenthesis represent squared numbers, not the number two!
Finally, it occurred to me that I only REALLY need to know enough Math, at this point, to pass the PPST Exam (Pre-professional skills test) at the end of this semester. That I can do. I only missed it by five points on my first try. Now that I have taken two Math classes since that attempt, I decided to concentrate on the kinds of Math that are on the PPST, memorize any formulas I need, and take practice tests until I'm certain that I can pass the exam.
Once that plan came to me, my stress level dropped several degrees. I once again feel that I am on the right track, and will not let this one subject keep me from achieving success!

Thanks, Randy!
I will update. Probably after I retake the PPST. I won't take it until sometime around the first of June.
Have a great day Marsha!
