My resolution is simply to not have a resolution.
Why? Well, simple, really. First off, the odd's are stacked against me by being a woman. Did you know 10% of woman who make a resolution break it within the first week? Of the remaining, 80% will break it within the first month. So, basically, if 100 women make a resolution, there are only 18 left "standing" in February.
Take into that my lack of wanting a change in my life, or the lack of needing to change my life, and the strength of my resolution goes down further, making it easier to break.
Sure, I could probably stand to eat a bit healthier, or get to the gym more often, but those are things I do daily to improve my life, so why make that my resolution?
I don't smoke at all. I drink maybe 3-4 times a year, in moderation, so those don't need to change. I don't do drugs at all. I don't think of chocolate as a vice, so I don't feel the need to claim to give it up, either.
Basically, while I do think I could stand a bit of change, I don't think I'll resolve to do it. Instead, I'll simply not be dissappointed if I fail in my "resolution".
