Quick Summaries of the 2007 movies I have seen.
The Year started with an animated offering called "Happilly N'ever After". Which promptly disappeared after one weekend (rather like Cinderella's Coach at midnight). It wasn't THAT bad. There were some pleasent touches...and it had a nice visual style that at leat made it more attractive than "Hoodwinked". (*5*) out of (*10*)
Next came "Epic Movie". I have rather enjoyed a few of these "Cliche compilations" (The last "Scarey Movie" had big laughs and surprisingly good effects). This one was more miss than hit.
There were some fascinating details like Crispin Glover inhabiting Johnny Depp's Willy Wonka to the point that he seemed to become the character....(it would be interesting to ask if he KNEW it was a satire). He wasn't exactly funny BUT he was at least watchable in a frightening way.
The nicely timed depiction of the "Harry Potter" kids as overaged (and oversexed) just as naked photos of Daniel Radcliffe posing naked with a horse hit the web makes this seem smarter than it is.
