BEAR TALE is one more wonderful pattern from Cheryl Almgren Taylor. She creates wonderful quilts and then goes one step farther and includes a list of reading suggestions for snuggling under the new quilt and reading a good book.
The envelope that the pattern comes in is plasticized and recloseable. The instructions for the quilt are printed on paper that reminds me of the dress patterns I used when I was a teenager (we won't go into how long ago that was!). The point is that there are no book bindings to have to worry about keeping open. Simply tape/pin the pattern to the wall/bulletin board and you never have to dig the book out from under your fabric.
The material list is on the back of the envelope so you don't have to drag the paper out to know how much fabric you need. And there are two quilts - not just one. The cutting list is clear and detailed and the instructions are easy to follow with plenty of graphics to help you along. Templates are given in full size so no copying is needed.
Make your favorite child or grandchild a quilt, buy one of the suggested reading books and spend a night in warmth and good words!
