Was Mr.Carter's stand on the Palestenian problem always on these lines? Or did it undergo some change in the near past? (I did not have sufficient opportunity to notice the local changes from India)

Whatever happened to honesty and integrity and the freedom of speech...to be brought and paid for by anyone is demoralising as they take your rights away. Bribery and corruption are rampant in any government and should be investigated and stopped...lives are being affected by there silence and the jewish people have no right to stop that. Unless they are hiding something themselves...

I don't begin to understand american government but regardless of that point even i can see the corruption involved here. I see the news and watch what happens with the bombings as well...A point is being made here that politicians are being brought...and silence is forced...Greed, Money and Corruption is rampant and people are suffering because of it...whether he's done this to make himeself famous or self promotion is neither here nor there...someone has spoken and not been bribed...a voice has been heard amongst the silence.

Everything on this debate is biased. Both sides are wrong and just have to face the fact that war kills people and destroys lives. Apart from that all else is politics, greed, egoism, racial prejudice etc....

A recent study showed that close to where I live the most used boys name is Mohamed... the most used girls name is Sarah... I thought it was a great symbol demonstrating that the world has changed and that kids are the future.

I think a separation is best on psychological grounds. Both countries need it desperately, just like after a bad marriage.

Both sides are armed with partial truths of their own. How public opinion can be manipulated is the first exercise carried out by any public person or political leader. The general public also wants to be fed by the"truths" convenient for them to believe. It was so, ever. A kind of solution will have to be arrived at. As in the case of Korea, South Africa, Vietnam etc some arrangement will have to be arrived at. Palestine, Kashmir, Sree Lanka and some regions in Latin America and Africa, are in different degrees of explosiveness. All have to strive for a "common minimum" TRUTH

What a surprise. A Jewish supporter of the Zionist state of Israel, who actually DOES SELL HIMSELF to the highest bidding murderer or crook, will insult a respected and honest ex-President of our nation. I am no fan of Jimmy Carter's domestic agenda when he was President, but, my quick read of his book showed it to be surprisingly well-balanced and honest, despite it being constant US-Presidential policy to blindly support Israel. Dershowitz is just acting as a pit-bull for the Zionist lobby to ensure American politicians knows how they will be maligned if they speak the truth about Israel and its regime of Zionazism. Lawyers twist words, so I'm not surprised Mr. Carter will not debate Mr. Dershowitz. There is also the age of Mr. Carter to consider, so a debate would be too taxing on his health. I'm sure Mr. Dershoitz is sincere is his cause, but his calls for a debate with an elderly man is poor gamesmanship. Both Israel and the Palestinians have had their rights violated, but as long as the Palestinians use suicide bombings, I feel there is no reason to talk or address their concerns. The use of suicide bombings is an affront to all of humanity and in my opinion gives Israel the right to do whatever they wish. I personally would never consider any type of negotiation until this evil practice is denounced and ends. I do not consider myself pro_Israel, or anti-Palestinian. Suicide bombings sicken me to the core and I believe anyone who supports or condones such an evil act should be hunted down a slaughtered like wild pigs. So called civilians who support civilian bombings are not innocents. I would like to eventually see a nation called Palestine. I could care lessabout political labels such as Zionism, Hamas, Fatah, etc. What matters is that these people can live with hope and to be able to pursue a lifestyle of the culture they wish. Many good decent people in Palestine and in Israel are held captive to the utter nonsense of trying to find a political solution through violence. Other countries, including the USA are just pouring fuel on the fire with political posturing that gives absolutely no benefit or hope to these people. Efforts to use religion as a reason is only an excuse for continuing the standoff and the violence, while the real issues of peace and security become meaningless political words. There must be some sort of agreement about land confiscation and proper reparations. This is not just for Palestinians, but also for Jews who lost everything when they had to flee other Arab nations. There are many issues that need serious non pre-emptive dialogue. As long as the suicide bombings continue, there is no reason for any attempt at dialogue.

Everybody is trying to accuse people of wrong doing...blaming each other...stop the racism...stop the hatred and the remarks about anti zionism and do something about it...people are people and should be respected for who they are not what they are. we already live in a world of hatred and diseased minds because its what we have been brought up with...its time to stop it before we poison our own children with these ideas of ours and resolve these issues once and for all. Just move on and teach our children not to hate...but to accept.

To William Dotani: Your response touched my heart. The psychological climate is similar to that existing in Kashmir, Sree Lanka, etc. Suicide bombings have material and psychological base. The more one is up set by it, the more it will be used to exploit one's conscience by the vested interests. Of course that does not mean that one can just ignore human aspect as such.

You can see here how out-of-balance the whole thought process is. Try working with the "Dynamic Peace" vibe instead of the "Justice" vibe and see what happens in terms of mental freedom.
With human ideas of "Justice," we're looking at negative opposition. Good versus Evil. Dualistic thought and action. Good and Evil always hunting each other - and what do you know - hell spawns more hells.

With Dynamic Peace, we work with complementary opposition. The Truths common to both Love and War, are the essence of Dynamic Peace.

In the case of Dershowitz vs Carter, we have a lot of verbal projectile warmongering, no peace in sight.

In the case of Dershowitz PLUS Carter, we have an opening for surrender to Divine Love/Wisdom. Both of these males are respected elders.

I note, here, a significant imbalance, still: no feminine elders included in the equation. Without the feminine in balance with the masculine, warmongering can easily hold sway, either simmering or boiling over.

So let's add an equal component of feminine wisdom to the Dershowitz PLUS Carter equation. I'll suggest Coretta Scott King for one; and Rebbetzim Esther Jungreis for the other. NOW we have a real potential for makin' peace!

Joe, we don't really differ. I simply defer to my sure knowing that Divine Justice hold sway. ["Vengeance is MINE" saith the Lord; "Judge not lest ye be so judged," says Jesus; "Karma blooms," says Lama Michael Conklin]. Humancentric justice tries hard, but it's loaded with practitioners who don't listen to true Wisdom, but instead rely on legalistic intellectualism.
Give me a panel of ten wise women and ten wise men, spiritually empowered elders, all - and some of them skilled in spiritual sciences and able to discern Truth.

In his role as propaganda minister, Mr. Dershowitz sets the stage as a classic demagogue attacking the motives of the messenger without regard to the facts. Israel today behaves like a colonial power, brutally punishing the indiginous inhabitants of the West Bank and Gaza. This was not always the case. President Carter has nailed the truth with indellible ink. Mr. Dershowitz cannot explain it away, so he has to discredit and divert attention. I worked with the IDF in the Post Six Day War in 1967 into 1968. In those days the Zionist State was a totally different entity. Starting in the 1970s and excellerating in the 1980s, hundreds of thousands of Jews immigrated to the West Bank and Gaza with the sole purpose of stealing the land and natural assets. In order to justify this brutal, racist behavior the Jews unleash one of the greatest propaganda campaigns in order to deamonize the Palistinian People. I have personally witnessed the pathology of the process. As a Jew, I am completely ashamed of My People. Of course, Mr. Dershowitz would call me a self hating Jew. I respectably disagree. Everybody knows Saudis and especially Bin Laden family are truly concerned about human rights. They really worried about freedom of speech, democracy and brotherhood of men.
