Newspaper endorsements meant something back in the day. Now they're meaningless. People vote for their own reasons, not because their paper told them who to vote for.

Besides, with the major papers, everybody knows who's going to get the nod anyway... SF Examiner, Wash Post, Chicago Tribune, and NY Times, for instance, always pick the Democrat, while the Republicans can usually count on the papers of smaller cities like the Indianapolis Star and so on.

Why? I don't give a rat's ass who endorses who; it won't affect my vote either way, which incidentally will be for neither Obama NOR McCain, both of whom are yet another step in the wrong direction.

The US Congress has all-time low approval ratings, even worse than our current doofus president, and the best two candidates we could find were both Senators?!
